Vice President

Vesna Balac

“I am interested in the position of Vice President because I care deeply about our profession and believe in the power this society has as a group.  Additionally, I believe that as radiologic technologists, whether working in direct patient care, education, or management, we can make a significant impact on people’s lives. As an educator, I am passionate about making a difference in my students and bridging the gap between theory and practice, especially when it comes to digital technology. My diverse work experience makes me a strong candidate for this position. I have served as a clinical assistant professor and clinical coordinator since 2008, as well as the director of the radiologic sciences programs at Indiana University North West since 2017. These positions have been wonderful opportunities to gain skills necessary for delivering instruction, managing others, and collaborating with other campuses." - Vesna Balac, RT (R), (MR)

I am a new full-time faculty member of the University of Southern Indiana. I currently serve as Clinical Coordinator and Instructor in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. I have taught as an adjunct instructor for USI since 2013 teaching general and cardiac sonography.  I look forward to serving the ISRT as secretary if appointed. I believe I provide a unique background as a sonographer.  ISRT is an excellent organization with a plethora of resources that is often overlooked by technologists in the area.  As secretary, I look forward to working diligently to increase membership, particularly from the sonography community. I am honored to be nominated for this position, and I thank the committee for their time and consideration in reviewing my application." - Samantha N.
